Mandy Gordon, LMSW, earned her Masters Degree from New York University. Mandy has experience treating a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, emotion dysregulation, school and work related stressors, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Through her work with children, teens, young adults, and families, she has developed a deep understanding of the challenges and complexities that individuals face in their daily lives.
Mandy utilizes her background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness practices to help her clients explore their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors to gain insight, make meaningful changes and lead more fulfilling lives. Mandy prioritizes building strong, trusting relationships with her clients, ensuring they feel heard and empowered. She also works collaboratively with her clients, their families, and other professionals to provide comprehensive care and support.
Mandy brings a unique perspective to her work at ThriveWell, drawing from her additional role as a middle school social worker. Through her work in schools, she has honed her skills in understanding and connecting with teens, providing effective strategies to support their emotional and behavioral well-being. Mandy's expertise extends to facilitating groups on various topics relevant to middle school life, creating safe and nurturing spaces for adolescents to explore and grow.
