Mandy Gordon, LMSW

ASSOCIATE THERAPIST

Mandy Gordon, LMSW, earned her Master’s Degree from New York University and brings a wealth of experience in supporting adolescents and adults through various mental health challenges. She provides  trauma-informed care and is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which she integrates into her practice to help clients build skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness.

Mandy has extensive experience treating issues such as anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, work and life transitions, and the impacts of past trauma. She works with individuals navigating these challenges by fostering a supportive, compassionate environment where clients feel understood and encouraged to explore their thoughts and emotions. Through this process, Mandy helps clients gain insight, develop coping strategies, and create meaningful changes in their lives.

Her approach draws from DBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness practices, allowing her to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs. Mandy prioritizes building strong, trusting relationships, ensuring clients feel both supported and empowered in their healing journey. She also collaborates with families and other professionals to provide holistic care.

In addition to her work at ThriveWell, Mandy also serves as a middle school social worker. This role has deepened her ability to connect with teens and support their emotional and behavioral well-being, as well as to lead groups on topics central to adolescent life.

Mandy is passionate about empowering her clients to overcome obstacles, improve their mental health, and cultivate a sense of strength and self-worth.
